Silence after Fuku-otoko

At six o'clock in the morning on January 10th,
people get together in front of the gate of Nishinomiya shrine,
in order to decide who is the fastest runner from the gate to
the main bldg of the shrine.
The first person is called "Ichiban-fuku (the luckiest)" and
is going to be blessed by god for one year with other goods given by the shrine.
Womens can take part in, which makes "Fuku-onna" if she posits at least 3rd.

However you have to wake up really early in the morning to aim for the first.
and it is slippery inside since the road is made of stone (easy to freeze in the cold morning).

This is how "New year's holidays" still keep on going around Hanshin-area.
Then another temple would have another festival...Oh...
